That one will go a long way ...

If it takes over an hour for your stomach to settle down, force it .. (and go see a docter).
If not: don't take the chance of wasting your $$$

Is leg training synomymous (sp?) with barfing for most people out there? I mean I really don't want to start barfing on leg day - this mean I'm not gonna get as good results?

Hell no! I've never thrown up on leg day, ever!
    Now back, that's a different story ...

Just go as hard as you can push your body .. most gym owners really don't like barfing on the floor ..

Don't let the hardcore stuff get to you. It's common to feel some light-headedness after a hard set of squats or deadlift,
and sometimes this feeling comes with a (sudden) burst of nauseau, even "barfing".
Just make sure your blood sugar levels are at bay, and you'll be fine.

Don't eat spaghetti or a banana before your workout, that'll keep everything inside ..

I have never thrown up during or after any work-out (yes I work-out very hard).

I would have to question how soon you're eating before your work-out as well as what you're eating.

I have thrown up about a dozen times while working out...only during legs and back. Is it necessary to throw up...of course not. However, I believe pushing to this limit is a very empowering and liberating feeling. It shows me I am willing to go places that 99.9 % of the population would never dare. But thats just me...

Anyway, I think that it is natural to feel somewhat lightheaded and/or nauseous during a hard leg or even back workout. If you don't, then you aren't training hard enough in my opinion.

I think that you can give 99.9% in your work-out and still not barf.

Like I said, it really depends on how soon you're eating before a work-out and what you're eating IMO.

Just an example, when I was in the Army we had PT tests and part of it was a 2 mile run. I found that I had to be on an empty stomach or I would barf during my run. So, typically the tests were in the morning, I would not eat anything until after the test to avoid throwing up.

I do not eat a solid food meal for 3.5 hrs before I train. I do have a shake about an hour before. Like I said, barfing is not a necessity in order to grow, but like Ahnold said in Pumping Iron, "I have thrown up many times in the gym!" Everytime I vomit, its a salute to the greatest ever...Ahnold!

So do you yackers feel better after puking? So much for that pre-workout shake being absorbed into the body, eh?

I have come very close to puking on a number of occasions, all on legs day. I came pretty close this morning as well, and the romanian deadlifts damn near put me over the edge.

I've only puked once after legs but it was partly due to a stomach virus. I've got a cast iron stomach and have probably puked a total of 2-3 times in my adult life. Although, I wish I would puke more cause it seems you always feel better.
