Your body will usually tell you - but I'm probably good for 8-12 weeks at a time. I may take off a day per week - but a full week is usually driven by my work schedule, vacation if I get sick, or just plain old need a change.

Ya, Usually it will just happen. You got the flu, unmissable family vacation etc. But just in case you live alone and are in perfect health...... Every 5-6 months is a good range.

Taking a full 2 weeks off twice a year is a very good way to train, so about every 5 1/2 months take 14 days off.

I take 1 week off every 10 weeks. Tired or not its just a rule. Overtraining is a bitch and it can sneek up on you. I could probably go longer without a break but the fact that im only missing 3-4 workouts makes it a good way to be safe.
