It depends on what i'm trying to achieve

Thickness-heavy rack pulls, power shrugs, incline front raises facing the bench or Hise shrugs
Height-behind the back shrugs and close grip upright rows
Unilateral Trap development-seated high rep dumbbell shrugs

Favourite Trap routine at the moment is technically 2 routines one on back day one on delt day

    back day;
    Hise shrugs 5 x8
    rack pulls 5x8
    seated dumbbell shrugs 4x20-30

    delt day
    behind the back shrugs 4x10
    ~superset with~
    close grip upright rows 4x12
    power shrugs 4x8
Incline front raises facing bench 7x12

But to choose one exercise would have to be power shrugs

Deads, Farmer's Walks, and Face pulls. I've stopped doing cleans because I can't get the technique down.

hexbar shrugs because the straight-bar always grazes my cock and interferes with the lift.

Heavy ass racks...sometimes super setted with pull ups then shrugs. I do this about once a month. Near the end of my racks set I 'll start super setting it with pull ups...then super set pull ups with shrugs.

I've never done rack pulls, but I tried some yesterday...

HOLY SHIT that thing is better than deads (for traps)
My traps are hurting so good... Ehehehe

I think I'll take off the deads and make some rack pulls at back trains and stiff for legs to blast the lower back (wich deads hurt too)

Deadlifts, snatch pulls, clean pulls, power shrugs.

I haven't done BB shrugs in about 1.5 years and my traps have exploded in that time frame.

Try getting a good stretch at the bottom of whatever trap exercise you do. It'll make a huge difference
