    Exertional Headaches

I just saw the doc, and that's what he called em.

Anyone have any experience with headaches during working out?

Sounds like he thinks you may have a possible blood clot or something else wrong.
I'd check into it for sure.

Yeah, he mentioned something like that..

Most likely it's just a combination of exam stress (I just finished my finals) and lack of decent sleep (again.. exams).

I'll get whatever scan he wants, but I plan to be back in the gym after a week off.

    Re: Exertional Headaches

Afterwards all the time. I have a bad back so I know many times it comes from there. Also after doing traps later on in the day I get a wicked one. That is due to the muscle swelling(pump) putting pressure on the arteries to the brain. Drink a little vinagar and the headache is gone.
vinagar thins the blood thus allowing it flow easier through the capilaries. Headaches are pressure on the walls of veins and capilaries. If you thin the blood it flows more freely thus relieving the pressure. Its like pushing 100 gallons of water through a soda straw at a high rate of pressure.(headache)

Yeah, I'm being told that because of stress combined with this kind of exertion that I put so much pressure on one of these arteries that I burst one or something.

Or at least he wants to get a scan done to be sure.

Asprin has the same effect as the vinagar but I don't do medicine. I go with natural remedies when at all possible.

That's weird. At the end of the meeting with him, he told me I should definitely avoid taking Aspirin.

I haven't heard much about those but yeah.. it doesn't sound good. I'll get a scan done.. cause it is weird that it's been more than 12 hours now, and it still is pretty painful.

Anyway, off to bed. Thanks for the tip anyway.

this is true if you may possibly have a blown artery bro. You could bleed to death internally cause the asprin also reduces blod clotting. Blood clotting is necessary to stop a bleed. When you cut yourself even a minor scratch, if you didn't clot, you would bleed to death. You better do as your doc says and get this thing checked.

I was already typing the entry regarding asprin and vinagar when you wrote this I didn't see it until after the above was posted by you.

Good luck Cory let me know how you make out.
by the way an anurism is a thin spot on the wall of an artery.
