Post Liquid Creatine

BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS
High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com
I have just seen an ad for Liquid creatine.

The powder gave me some excellent gains and I am now on a month off of the stuff, I did experience some side effects i.e pimples and cramp if I let myself dehydratebut overall it worked quite well.

Have any of you guys used this stuff? How did your gains compare against the powdered variety?
Any side effects?

Stick with regular creatine. It works the same and cost half the price.

Just out of curiosity... our muscles are 70% water aren't they.. if creatine is so molecularly unstable in water what happens to it in our muscles to make it stable?

If I'm not mistaken, the body will convert it into something more stable. It needs to, because creatine isn't your body's first choice in energy use.

Yep, creatine breaks down if you let it sit in water. I heard that when you let creatine sit in water for a long time 15+ min. then drink it, not only is it useless but it also has a diuretic effect.

He's right!! Don't waste your money. Until there is some kind of legit scientific study done on the product (and not the one's sponsored by the manufacturers of the product) there's no way in hell I'll ever use that product again. Got burned once.. won't let it happen twice.

I read that creatine can only maintain it's molecular structure for a short period of time in liquid.....

Creatine is not molecularly stable in liquid after 10 minutes--15 max. So even if you mix your own creatine in a liquid, gulp it down quick..don't let it sit.

Also, you gotta ask yourself, if there is legit gains from liquid creatine, why aren't the big name companies (EAS, Twinlab, Muscletech) getting into it? Don't you think they would want to tap into this new reserve of gold?...I know this isn't a very good arguement but its just common logic IMO

Question

What about capsules then, I am keen to avoid the side effects that I have previously experienced.

You mention side effects when you let yourself dehydrate, but if your taking creatine you should be drinking tons of water. When I took creatine, I noticed that the more water I drank, the better it worked.

I dehydrate a lot more when I am on the stuff

I am drinking about 3littres of water during the day and at least a littre when I am training.

Is this still too little?

Drink more if your still dehydrated, like crowman said, it seems to work better with the more water you drink.

I've also read that the loading phase is compleat crap, just a way to get you buying more.
