
When working-out 2-3 days a week, 1-1.5 h + 10 min cardio warm-up, as recommended, what is the best strategy for recovery in between, for a generally semi-sedentary guy?
Is it just passive rest, or should it be some jogging/swimming/tennis/eliptical etc for the other 4-5 days/week?
Does it make sence to do intermediate lower-intensity sessions of the major exersises I do on the regular work-outs: e.g if I squat 200 x 20 (or 300 x 5) every 7-10th day (with gradual wt growth), should I include something like 100 - 150 x 20-15 somewhere half-way (e.g day 3-5) to help myself to recover better & to get ready for the real work-out (+ 5 lb) on my next day - 7-10?
