Nope, but make sure you eat before you workout. But, if you are cutting and that morning your just going to do cardio then go on an empty stomach. Do eat before lifting though.

Personally I don’t like working out in the morning. Reason b/c I feel that I’m half awake and half at sleep and my lifts are much better in the afternoon than in the morning. I also heard somewhere If I remember right was on TV that people who work out in the morning have a higher percentage of getting sick than people that work out in the afternoon. If it is true or not I don’t know and I really don’t care. If you have to lift in the morning not to skip a workout that’s gr8, better than doing nothing.

I work out in the morning, mostly because I just don't have the time nor energy at night and I've also found that I have a hard time sleeping after an night workout.

I'm with Tiny on this one. When I get home from work, I want to sit on my ass and do nothing. Morning workouts are much better for me. Besides, there is only a fraction of people at the gym in the morning than there are in the evening.

What Baboon said. I work out at 6 AM and there are relatively few people there. Not much can intefere with an early morning workout, except possibly staying up late.

I would ingest about 30-40 grams of whey and about 50-60 grams of simple carbs prior to training
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

Also, I get up at 4am, then workout at 4:45- should I eat a full breakfast at 4 , and then a post workout shake at around 5:45-6 am>>>>>>> or should I workout on an empty stomach then eat after??

I would do that the other way around, have the shake work out then have the good protein high breakfast.

Crips, I don't know how people get up THAT early to work out.

I can work out during the day on my days of (Mon and Wed), but I kick myself cus I have the train in the morning on Friday, but I tend to turn my alarm off at six am. My head hits the pillow I close my eyes I breathe deeply and the next thing I here is Mom shouting that it's nine oclock and I really start to kick myself

There is NO WAY IN HELL you would ever get me training at 6:00am. But that's because I'm not a morning person. I need a good 8 hours to wake up. hahaha j/k. Seriously, there is absolutely nothing wrong with early morning training in fact, it has its benifits. You tend to burn more calories training 1st thing in the am before breakfast. Also it gives your whole day a good jumpstart.

AM workouts are great! Especially if you ad cardio to it. You should take in slow burning carbs prior to leaving for gym. And around 40 grams or both carbs and protien within 30 minutes of your workout.
