
I have a very difficult time hitting my delts without feeling more in my upper traps than my delts. My shoulders are naturally narrow so this problem isn't helping me much.
Everything from presses, to face pulls, to lateral raises, etc... has left me feeling more in my traps than delts. I am very careful with form and don't shrug my shoulders during any of these exercises, it just seems that my upper traps are way over-active.
any wise suggestions?
btw...I haven't do a shrug in years and the only thing that probably puts a lot of stress on the upper traps is my deadlift which I'm not willing to give up.
I would try hang cleans. Since I started them my shoulders have exploded.
