    GVT/gear

I am swapping to a GVT routine because I have always liked the look of it and decided I might try it. I also just started my first cycle and I was wondering about the difference it would make. I know people say to train the same, but with this I'm not sure what to do to up intensity really other than add weight, but with this much volume idk if that is a real option. Thoughts? perhaps throw in some heavier sets after it's all done?

    M -
    Bench - 10x10
    Skull Crushers - 10x10
    Military Press - 10x10
    W -
    Rows - 10x10
    Barbell Curls - 10x10
    F -
    Squat - 10x10
    Calf Raises - 10x10

I want to throw Deadlifts in there, but I'm not sure where I want them due to what the sites I've read say about the intensity of the routine. I am wondering about leg or back. Ideas?

no not drop sets your supposed to pick a weight you can rep around 20 times and keep that but theres a very good chance youll end up lowering the weight by the 6th 7th set

    it was setup
    MONDAY-Chest Back
    Tuesday-LEGS
    Wendsday-off
    Thursday-Arms
    Friday-off
    saturday-chest Back
    Sunday-legs
    Monday-off
So basically you would work that muscle every 5 days but that would just be crazy insane

Hey, i do GVT every now and again to add some variaty and a change of pace becouse i tend to lift heavy a lot. I aint on gear so cannot realy comment on that. But as i understand your only supposed to do 1 set of 10x10 with a compound lift like Squat etc then just do some isolation accessory work after (at a weight of your chioce) In theory after doing your 10x10 you should be too fatuiged to lift much more. So guess what im saying is that u should'nt be able to do 3 x 10x10 like your proposing 4 monday for example as your first set should have done the trick if performed with the correct intensity

good luck whatever you do and keep us posted

That is only a single 10x10 for each main muscle group. Accessory lifts would be more unilateral isolation work.

I like this I only have mwf to lift.. so adding an arm day won't work .. will they lag behind with this plan?

You are getting plenty of arm work done on with the upper body movements... however if you feel they are lagging, then you can always add in some accessory arm lifts on any one of the three days

Also i have never taken gear, but logic says i would avoid GVT if i was using something like winny which would be tough on joints, b/c GVT is very repetitive with movements it probably isn't the best choice if you were using something that was already adding stress to joints.

GVT is the best thing, well for me anyway. I get great growth and love the workouts, plus I dont get alot of time to train so its great as its only 45 min - 55 if I go to piss etc. lol
