    Smile please read!!!

Hey guys i started offseason football last week and its great. Everything is very upbeat and fast. My question is if when we work out (4rth period about 2:00) and we dont hit a muscle very much is it ok if i go home and work that muscle more (about 5:00) I was thinking that if i do that my muscles would have allready started to heal and if i worked out again it would stop me from grwoing but i really dont know. Please answer soon and thank you in advance.

define your terms (political science lingo, sorry I couldn't help it)...

By "don't hit a muscle very much" what do you mean..post you "sub-par" workouts and we'll see if you really are not working a muscle much.

well for example today we did 3 sets of flat bench and 3 sets of incline...i just dont think that is a complete chest workout. I was thinking maybe i could finish up a workout after school.

ok for example. Today we did 3 sets of bench and 3 sets of incline. I dont consider that a chest work out up to par (is it?). I thought that maybe i could after school do some dumbell flys and a couple more sets of bench. Is this not a good idea?

How many days a week do you hit the chest 1, 2, or more.

You've already done six sets and the most you'd want to do in a week would be nine or ten.

My thought is that your not hitting the six sets hard enough. If your not to failure on the third set of both exercises then the workout is subpar. I would go to failure on both. and call it a day. I don't like the idea of taking three hours off and hitting it again. That could easily lead to overtraining because you've had time to recoup a little and you would feel like you could do more.

    Just my thoughts.

    Good luck.
