    pullup contest

    one of my cycling training partners said he heard about a weighted pullup contest.. one rep..

    anyone know who is putting this on, or have any info on this?

    i imagine there will be some awsome numbers in this contest.

    wish i was there coz NO ONE can beat me with pull ups at least no one did so far

    no prob. try one arm pull up (complete pull up using ONLY one arm) in my youth (......long time ago ) i could do that twice i never saw any one do it.

    wow... thought all of the bodybuilders and strongmen would be interested in this competition...

    i bet SOME gymnasts in high schoo,l and probably most college gymnasts can do numerous one arm pullups..

    i am sure some gymnasts can do it , no legs weight to carry around..

    you must take a closer look at the male and female gymnasts.

    very defined and built upper and lower bodies..

    well gymnasts have strong legs but not massive they are built to have a power to weight ratio that is ideal. they really do not use leg strength that much in their routines.

    That's the thing... I know smaller guys who could beat me simple because I weigh 250 lbs to start with.
    Does the contest allow for bodyweight?

    smaller guys have better chances in pull ups , and in general, the bigger you are the stronger but your power to weight ratio is not as good as a small strong guy.
