    Lopsided Lats

    HEY ALL,

Noticed recently that my left lat lat is well developed and defined when I flex but my right issue nowhere near the same size. Im left handed and this is probably the reason. Any ideas on the best move or exercise to help the right side catch up? Now that Ive noticed it it drives me crazy!
Also I believe Ive torn some tendon material at my elbows. Very painful right at the point of both elbows and at the inside points. Its particularly painful when I do tricep work.

Any ides or suggestion would be great . THANKS!

this very very common and mostly noticed in lats, sometimes one lat is attached higher than the other giving the impression of smaller lat .
Believe it or not it has nothing to do if your lefty , i had the same problem left is bigger (still does a bit) and i am right handed. many muscles are not equal in size from left to right but lats are noticed the most.
    what you can do is:
make them bigger using moves like bent over rows with barbell
Build your lower lats with ( i don't know the name of this one) pull downs like triceps pull down but straight arms going up and pushing down sort of like swimming butterfly.
then use one arm dumbell row: no need to go heavier on the right side except lets say your last set.
and of course pull downs are welcome.
Once they get bigger and fuller (developing lower part) you will not notice the difference, but be patient.
sometimes if the muscle is attached higher you cannot rectify the problem completely.

More bent over rows with right hand than left hand. Also, if you can manage to do one handed pull ups/lat pulldowns, that's good too.

i don't like one arm pull downs and the reason is the position of your body, and the stress it puts on your neck and spine, it could cause injury,
bent one arm rows are much more practical. he just has to be patient
