So my wife, calls me up today and tells me she signed me up for a "hot hubby" contest. Now this is a local thing and a small town so it is by no means a big deal or at a professional level but never the less I have never been in any kinda contest and I would appreciate any tips. Not expecting to win but I wouldn't mind knowing a few things I can do over the next 72 hrs diet and training wise to help my chances of at least having fun with it.
Get a tan, use a diuretic, cut carbs till day of and do some lift lifting precomp.
What's a diuretic??
...as far as my Shape. I'm 6.0 190lbs and probably somewhere around 15%bf. I have a decent core but more of a 4 pack type a deal. Got the upper abbs but not so much the lower. No muffin top or nothing though. And I got decent tan
....should I drink water the day of? Should I jump in a sweat suit and run my ass off? what do I do from now untill 6pm fri diet and training wise?

I will try and figure out how to post a pic.
a diuetic is a supp that reducing the amount of water in your body, making you look more defined/toned. I've never competed but it seems logical to avoid carbs to avoid any bloat...
taking a diuetic to loose weight for some small town husband and wife contest is a joke.... but this is a bodybuilding forum and thats what they do... unhealthy....
before you go, do some curls and bench, light weight high reps, try to get the pump before going. It will help and you will look bigger for a few hours.
Anti estrogens and a OTC diuretic..... Do some push-ups before you step on stage. Practice keepin your midsection tight while breathing.... Will help on stage to make you look tighter.
Holy shit guys. I won!! Lmao. It wasnt a body building contest by any means but I got 2500 bucks worth of gift cards and prizes. I'm going to the Miami game Sunday!!!!!

congrats bro, I was about to post some advice but sounds like you didn't need it. Just for FYI's sake, best thing you can do in such a short period of time is to up your water intake, and drastically reduce your carbs/salt intake. This will cause you to hold less water and give you more definition. The last day before the event you want to drop water intake pretty much completely, and have a high carb meal a few hours prior. Consuming lots of water will cause your body to start flushing it out rapidly. When you drop water intake the last 24 hours your body will continue flushing it out thus pulling more water out of the subcutaneous layer. Eating low carb will lower your glycogen stores making you look "flat", by carbing up a few hours precontest you will fill up with glycogen and look nice and full, but not have enough time to start bloating. This may never be of use to you but it could come in handy for a day at the beach or halloween costume whatever, just thought it was interesting and you may want to know :P
