Exclamation Annoying bodyfat question

Hi all! Im currently trying to stack a whole load of muscle on me, Im 202 pounds, 5’’8, but not fat. But, I d have a bit of a spare tyre and love handles which I am dying to get rid of. I understand that when trying to bulk I am going t gain some bodyfat, but is there a way to keep it down to look lean while bulking? Its annoying because I cant wear muscle tops because It looks a bit dodgy with the podgy belly! Also, I am consuming 3,725 calories, 383g of protein, 312, of carbs and 62 of fat. Is this t much calories? Any ideas would be most helpful! By the way, are bench dips a good exercise for the triceps? Im trying to really build the triceps, been as though they make most of the arm! Thanks again!

Hi and welcome to IM

Your calories in seem a little high to me, (I'd post in the diet and nutrition section for some good help)
If your BF is kind of high, I wouldn't worry about bulking right now, you can still gain Lean Muscle mass without bulking if you already have some fat on you. Its when your body fat is low that its hard to make muscle gainss.

Yes Dips arre a great Tri builder, some others that are great are:
Close Grip Bench
Skull crushers (french press)
And of course push downs.

Cool

your conclusion is that eating fat makes you fat, not true.

it's a bit more complex than that.

Should I stick to my normal 3 day heavy weight training, but add in cardio on the days off? If so, how much and how long should I do it for? Should it get rid of some bodyfat while getting some gains in muscle? Also, should I train my abs 3 days a week too? Thanks!
