Chest - split over afternoon and evening?

    Greets,

But of a weird question but wondered what the pros and cons of doing this were. I train at home but the gym where I box at has a few machines. Never been a big fan of the chest fly machine in the past but since I can't do DB flies (shoulder injury) I thought I'd give it another go. As long as I use my good side to help teh bad side in position (i.e. so I'm not starting the exercise with my hands really wide) I'm really feeling it helping.

However, the gym doesn't have a lot of free weights so I can't do DB press and incline press there. Can I do my regular DB Press and incline press at home around 3pm and then do maybe a couple of sets flat bench and 4 sets on the chest fly machine around 7pm? Just asking as normally my chest day is Saturday and would have to change it to Friday as that is one of the days I box at the gym.

My other options are to do the fly machine on Friday and regular chest workout on Saturday but not sure that would have any benefit. The fly machine doesn't leave my pecs gassed like presses. I'm also at the gym Wednesday and Monday if that fits in better. Would really like to incorporate the machine into my workouts somehow.

Muscles need rest, don't do the same thing twice in a day.
