I have a couple of things I need to get off my mind, and maybe someone here can help direct me.
I have a source.
I have a plan.
I have the will.
But I'm not sure if it's the right time for me and AAS.
Here's a little background info for you. I'm 24 years old, 6'3" and currently 245 pounds. I'm pretty stocky--not ripped by any means. I used to be a fatty tipping the scales at 325 pounds. I was a real honker. I lost close to a hundred pounds using nothing but my diet and willpower. I don't have any extra loose skin or "stomach pancakes" (I thought I would, but i'll attribute it to my overall size and say thanks to baby jesus) as some like to call them.
I'm pretty well versed and I take everything I do in stride and with careful planning. I say this so you know I'm not looking for advice on "first cycle", "pct", or "training regimen"; but advice on whether or not I should wait to take this venture.
I've kept off my weight for almost two years now. I've started and finished P90X (May not be an achievement to you, but fuck me that was hard) and several other training programs. My heart is into anything I do.
I recently started back on my diet and working out (1 month now) because I want to add some muscle and get rid of the rest of the fat. I'd like to be around 220. My question is should I keep my weightlifting regimen for awhile then start AAS, or go ahead and do it? Like I stated before--I finish my goals, and everything I do is to the "T". I just want to know what will be the best idea for my body.
Sorry if I rambled, just wanted to make sure you got all the info you need.
TL;DR--Should I wait to start a cycle or say fuck it if my heads in the game?
Okay, it sounds like you have your head on a a little straight.
When deciding whether it is time to start a cycle or not can be tricky. I for one would recommend achieving the most you can "naturally." Lets not argue semantics and over anaylze what I mean by natural. I simply mean: proper diet, non-hormal supplements, and some dedicated gym time.
I am a firm beleiver that if someone were to do a steroid of any form they should be on top of their shit. They should have plenty of hours logged in the gym. if you are 200lbs and benching 240 (for example) then I do not think that it is the proper time to consider doing any form of steroids. Your body just aint anywhere near where it could be "naturally."
That being said. Train hard, lift hard, work hard and think about it. If you want to do something well...no one here can stop you. I am just one of those guiys that thinks steroids should be used to push people beyond their limits, push the body to achieve new heights and you simply can't do that when you are still lifting within a zone that you should be able to do without that form of supplementation.
"should I keep my weightlifting regimen for awhile then start AAS, or go ahead and do it?"
keep weightlifting regimen until you've hit a maximum plateau. a max plateau might take a few years, and most people cant wait that long..give it at least a good 6 months more of training.
I am totally against AAS and what comes with it. however this is my view:
normally you start steroids after you have reached your plateau which is after MANY years in the gym (like all the above posts suggested).
Unfortunately some of today's youngsters start their gym days with steroids (and i am mentioning these extreme cases to show you the downside) doing this they mostly get addicted to the idea of steroids and deep in their heads they know that they are not able to progress without steroids and in fact as they stop AAS they shrink back to their original size if not less. They are used to steroids and rely on it instead of relying on their WILL: steroids killed their WILL.
You are young and relatively new to bodybuilding you apparently are an achiever with plenty of will and you achieved impressive results just relying on determination and will. WHy do you want to kill that????????
my advice: keep doing what you are doing ....at this stage your will is going to get you better results than AAS.
good luck
