Car Accident: Shoulder Injury and Lifting

My friend was in a car accident 3 weeks ago and hurt his shoulder. He just got back in the gym and was saying how his shoulder still hurts. He's seen chiropracters and has had X-rays done and doctors told him his shoulder appears to be fine and that he should be able to lift without any detrimental affects. Is the only thing he can do is rest it more or will there be any other way of being able to lift without pain?

Obsessed is just a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated.

hmmm ... if it hurts, I say don't do it!

Start off super light, just doing the motion even. Over-doing it may really farque the shite up if there's a tendon strain or something ...

Shoulder injuries can take a long time for full recovery. I sprained my rotator cuff and it ached for a year. I don't think the docs will find anything with an X-ray, but an MRI might help.
