im 47 been lifting since i was in my teens, at 47 im in the best shape of my life and i owe that to taking test at 500mg per week. at 26 i was at 165lbs benching 315 max. im 47 over the last year built back up to 315 max but i dont obsess over bench press like i did in my 20s. i do it once a week and max once a month and spend more time on other body parts. one thing for sure with out the sponsers i would not be where im at today. thank you pars, big d, sciroxxs, dragon, icon, and many more.
i am 50 been lifting since i was 15 , never took any steroids , testosterone or gh or ANYTHING besides multivitamins and sometimes protein shakes. right now i am not as strong as i was in my 30's but i can get there if i want to but not really interested. still in near best shape of my life, still improving when i put myself into it , no problem never felt any difference except that my flexibility decreased a bit and injuries will take longer to heal. still benching 300 ( my max was 325 at 170 lbs no steroids no crap) still can do over 20 pull ups ( my max was around 38) still can do 80 push ups in a row ( my max was around 115), but no way i can do one arm pull up or chin up (i used to be able to do that 25 years ago)
i benched 315 in a competition and i was less than 165 lbs and bench press is not my strongest lift at all.
now i still get great results with my workout because i know my body i know how to exercise and the proper technique, i know how to warm up, i know how to manage my body and avoid injury, and be efficient in my workouts.
