    Exclamation 3 vs 5 Day Split

    I am a beginner but was wondering is it not possible to get better gains doing a 5 day split with compound moves and isolation moves combined in a way that the muscles dont overtrain?
    People say 3 day split is best for beginners but I have allot of time I can spend working out and I was thinking combined with the right diet will 5 day split not bet better?

    More doesn't = better.

    Better = better.

    If you get X results from 3 days a week it doesn't necessarily mean you'll get a proportional amount more results from the extra two days. It's more likely you'll get less results if anything, especially being new to this.

    just workout in a smart way..... you can do a 7 days routine if you do it smartly, beginners tend to overdo it this why 3 days is good for them. just vary your routine and see how you feel you can do one week 5 days the other 3 there are no fixed rules this is not mathematics,
    the most important thing is to use proper form, enjoy your workout, and as you workout stay focused on the muscle you are training.

    It is possible to organize things in such a way, yes. However, I don't necessarily think it is either optimal or suboptimal. It depends on your goals and training status. For a beginner, however, I wouldn't recommend it.

    It sounds like you are going to ask the same question over and over until you get the answer you are looking for which may or may not be the right one.

    Gaz and Cowpimp are both experienced athletes and have given solid advice.
    However, I feel that been a noob and stubborn you'll probably lean towards the 5 day training. Good news is the worst that will happen is you'll hit a plateau or even lose some hard earned gains then be forced to switch up.

    The school of hard knocks isn't necessarily the best way of learning but it is effective.
