    Taking a week off training?

Whats up everybody. I've been training for many years now but i never really took a week off. What i was wondering is how important is it to take a week off from training and how often should it be done. I always feel like i dont need a break because i train each bodypart 1 day a week but for say chest, shoulders, back i do 20-25 sets and smaller body parts 15 sets also on non training days i do 30to40 min of cardio and abs so i train 6 days a week sometimes i even go in on sundays to do cardio. I appreciate the help.

I'm no expert, but your body needs a rest at some point. You won't lose any strength, and perhaps you will gain some with the rest. What is your body fat percentage?

If you're working out intensley with the goal of gaining size/strength, you should take a full week off once every 2-3 months.

Max-OT recommends one full week off every 8-10 weeks, no exceptions.
