    gym behavior

I was in the gym yesterday doing dead lifts & this dude howls, jitters, & growls for me to get out of his way. I told him to get the f$ck on with that crazy shit & he stopped the foolishness, but I have noticed he acts like that a lot in the gym the try to get attention. Is it bad gear or too much gear? The sh-ts stupid & he makes too many dam noises with not so heavy weight. Anybody experience this before?

Yeah, it's a shame people do that, and that a lot of people's response would be to move because of the aggression. Seems that he's trying to make up for something?!

Not a gear problem, at all. Its a behavioral problem. Im a bad mother fucker, but I dont act like that(kidding) Like sofar said, the juiceheads are usually the coolest, because they respect you for what youre doing, because theyve been down that road too.

Douchebags like the OP described is the reason that I train at a family fitness place with no meatheads. Its a bitch to get a spot, but the stress level is super low.

Funny similar thing happened to me today. My gym is usually pretty cool and I always go in the morning. Today I slept in and went in the afternoon. There was a guy who was on like 3 pieces of equipment (one of which I needed) he would do one set then go talk to his buddies then go on another piece then go talk. Took him about 20 minutes to do 2 different lifts. Anyhow I went and started stripped his weights of the piece I needed and he came up to me and acted like he was big and blah blah blah. He did the same stuff grunted when OHP 135lbs and rocking out on his MP3 player signing and stuff. Anyhow I told him off and he went away and then just started at me for the rest of my workout. Only term I can think of is DOUCHE BAG...every gym has them.

I train early morning or early afternoon and its the same for me. The old folks will usually let me have the equipment I need, they never use the Smith machines in case I have no spotter available.

So true, so true. I have the whole free weight area to my self, all the Smiths, the power racks and if I need a machine I ask nicely and they let me use it.
