So yesterday when I stood up from a bed I felt a nerve in my butt and leg and the pain was 2/10 but today is 9.5/10 and I can't walk or stand on that leg. (left one)
The pain is located only in my left ass cheek and I'm pissed off that I can't go to the gym and I'm on cycle, don't wanna to waste workouts!!!
Anyone had the same problem?
p.s. I'm going to a doc tomorrow but I guess hes gonna just give me some pain killers.
I don't know much about the dangers of pinning and if it would have an effect on either myofacial relaese or deep tissue massage, but I would find a foam roller at least and put it to use.
Is this a recent pinned area? If so could be an infection... Is the area hot to touch?
I pinned in right gluteus a few days before that and I have pain in my left one. Is not hot or anything, I know how infection looks, is not that.
Is like a pain in a straight line through my left glutes every time I walk.
I'd echo triplstep, get a foam roller and try some self myofascial release. Every now and then I get a tweak in the area you mention. I find that it comes from an adhesion in all the nice connective bits right where my hamstring meets the glute. If I don't foam roll it daily, my dead lifting hurts. I also like to sit in my computer chair and work a lacrosse ball all around that area. It hurts so good.

sounds like a compression of the sciatic nerve. you could have either just a knot in the muscle where the nerve exits the spine (chemical) or a bulging/ruptured disc (mechanical). your pain assessment is a little dramatic. 9.5/10 should be the most pain you've ever felt in your life, i.e. wheelchair/gurney movement, not posting on forums. either way, i'd see a doctor quickly. stick with your drama about the pain assessment, it will probably get you seen sooner. i personally wouldn't start stretching and foam rolling anything without a clear evaluation of the problem. bulging discs can become ruptured with just a little active stretching and exercise.
keep in mind, this is just my opinion. i'm not a doctor or anything, i just play one on tv.
