    Significant gains

I have been looking here for advice for some time and i'd like those who give advice to know how much they've helped me. lets see, about a year ago i was 5'11" 140. now i'm 6'1" 200. recently(past 4 months) I'v been making great gains. Lets see, my bench went from 155 to 295 in the last 4 or 5 months. Goals include to really get a shape instead of just putting on the muscle and looking like a bear which is gonna need some cardio and ab work(GODDA IT). I'm not nearly at my goals, actually i'v just started what I want to achieve, but ya thanks

I used to be 141 lbs then put on 30lb in 3 months thanks to the helpful forum members. Now trying to maintain 190lbs but lower bodyfat.

Don't believe the bench gains unless you had never lifted before a year ago...

140 pounds in 5 months is about 30 pounds a month, definately astronomical and steroid like. If its true though, your doing something right, not many people can do 295 at all.

The bench press gains are believable, the 60 pd weight gain is what's hard to believe in 1 year. I'd have to say there is some extra fat if so. But he's young so his body is growing, so it's possible. I'd like to hear what he started out benching. He said he has worked out for a year. It took 8 months to get to 155? My advice is be patient, you are young. Don't try to max out every week to see if you moved up. You'll aggravate a shoulder. Be patient you are off to a good start, you will reach your goals in time.

ya there is extra fat, if definitly ain't all muscle, like i said I need to do some ab work and cardio to not "look like a bear". REally though. I got a lot of help looking at these forums. about a year ago i'd go to the gym and do bench every day and then run, just becuase i didn't know any better. and gaining from 140 to 200 is a lot in part workin at it, but also growing and having myself develop from getting older. long time goals include to look like Arnold and grow a gold grill
