    Deadlifts and squats

I was wondering I hear about overtraining alot and I do not want to sink into that so i was wondering if i am training on this one routine. It is

    Once a week

5 sets of 5 reps of squats to failure piont
    then
5 sets of 5 reps of deadlifts to failure piont

before i do this i usually run for about 5 mins

am i overdoing it? am i doing more bad then good?

    thanks everyone for the reply

You'd probably be better off doing Squats OR deadlits but not both in the same workout.
I find deadlifts are more of a back exercise than leg anyway.
    Cool

I agree, standard deadlifts are better off with your back work-out.

Instead you should do SLDL's (stiff legged dead lifts) after your squats.

Your more likely to overtrain lifting to failure.. dont lift to fail like to succeed.
