Sounds like a good plan to me. Just remember that cardio will limit your strength gains. It is good though that you are planning to run in the morning and the ideal time to run is before you put anything into your stomach after you wake up. This is when your body is depleted from carbs and it will go right into the fat burning process.

4 times a week is plenty, you want to go about 30 to 45min at your target heart rate and like Large said, morning on an empty stomic is best. Try to wait 30 min before eating after you've done your cardio, your body will use fat to replenish itself if you can.

If you haven't run in a long time (6 months or more), you should start off slow the first 2 weeks or so.
Only run about a 1/2 mile the first week, then 1 mile the second. You don't want to stress your bones. By starting slow, your bones will strengthen to accomadate the new stresses being placed on them. That is my only advice. ------------------ Pianomahnn.com Life is fun!! |

IMO I would cycle it, the body is built to adapt,so I would throw out the idea you cycle it,pyramid it or whatever you like.
