leg exercise equipment - are they all the same?

    Whats up guys,
i was going to buy some leg equipment to do squats but i don't know what to buy. the ones that i came across were POWERHOUSE Adjustable Squat Rack & Plate Tree, TDS DELUXE SQUAT RACK, Wateman Bench Press / Squat Rack, and the POWERLINE Squat Rack. I was wondering if they are all the same?
My lower body is disgustingly scrawny and from the leg posts i read, the only thing i can do is SQUATS. but would squats also help the lower part of the legs like the ankles and calves, because that is where i lack the most, and i do not want to have huge thighs with sticks as calves.
    Thanks.

Squats do the whole body good, your thighs won't grow way out of proportion the rest of your leg, so yes, they will grow with squats as well.
And no, not all equipment is the same, I'm not familiar with the brands you mentioned, got any pics?
    Cool

I don't think you'll see much growth in your ankles or calves from squats, actually your ankle is not going to grow with any exercise.

If you want an opinion on these brands post links or pics of them.

I'm not familiar with any of the brands but if you can do weighted squats, you have the tools to do weight calf raises (and probably a bunch of other leg exercises I can't think of right now).

Squats are considered an "all body" exercise, but they're not going increase your calves. You will need to do calf exercises. You can do one legged calf raises holding a dumbbell standing on a stair, or purchase a seated calf raise.

Your ankles are bone and tendons, they're not going to increase in size. They will strengthen and the bone density will increase but there will not be a noticable increase of the ankle size (not sure why anyone would want bigger ankles).
