Hello i am 17 and work out using a 5 day split now and yesterday was arms day so I worked on my biceps, forearms, and triceps. One of my triceps is more sore than the other but not the biceps. My left tricep is more sore than my right so should I go back to the gym and do isolation right tricep workouts to even out the soreness? My triceps work out is tricep dips 3 sets of 12 with extremely stricked form (the gym trainer showed me), over head tricep extension 3 sets of 12, 3 sets of 12 on the dip machine, and 3 sets of 12 on the tricep extension. Then I switch to 3 sets of ten on my biceps.
many times you will have a side more sore than the other this is normal this does not mean that one side is going to grow more than the other.....going again to the gym and working the other arm will not make it better on the opposite you should give it some time to recover.
Also sometimes you can work one side more than the other but you don't get more sore and vice versa...in any case to avoid working one side more than the other like for example in triceps pull downs, you should concentrate on using both arms when doing an exercise and you should think about the muscle contracting and concentrate on your muscles working rather than on the weight and how much you are lifting. use smooth motion and good form, you can lift fast and sometimes go slow motion but always concentrate on the muscles you are working.
