I when ever I fail at achieving a planned set, rep even whole workout. I ask myself if I got a pump and If I felt like throwing up for at least a brief moment. If that occurs I forget all about the failure, because I did want I really wanted to do.
i had 405 on the bench the other day, looking at it.I buzzing from a combination of the tne blend(thanks olympus), two scoops of white flood, a brilliant couple work up sets and "before I forget" at 100 percent volume in my ears. I looked at the bench told the mother fucker I was going to rip it 8 times. Call my spot, reset the song, grip and go. Failed at 6. Every fucking time...six. Maybe about a year, grown 5 or 6 pounds why isn't this thing going up. Then it hits me my triceps and pecs start itching... Here comes the pump. Ripped off two plates a side grab the spot as he is leaving. "Wait bro- combine test- don't touch it until I'm going backwards". I lost count at 21. But it never got heavy. I started to see stars, then the room started to close up and I ran out of air. Spot said 28. But the last two were hardly reps. I gave myself 26.
I wasn't happy with either number really but I did them in such rapid succession but whole upper body was pumping. It was great, left the gym like I just got my first handy.

I've done a 10 X 10 on squats but, one set of 100 reps?!?!? Holy freakin' gawd!!!![]()

My training partner and I used to do 100 for 100. Ie bench press 100lbs for 100 reps. You do as many reps as possible, rack the weight at failure count to 30 then continue until 100 reps. It's fucken awesome for a shock to the system.

Never tried it. Sounds intense. I can imagine the pump from it

Aside from the number of reps you just described a rest pause set. Do you even DC?
