Can you gain back the LBM you lose?

    Well here is my issue.
I cleaned my diet up way too fast and did way too much cardio all at once. Now i peaked out and am stuck. My calories were around 1500 per day and i was doing 35 min of a.m cardio 3 times a week and 45 min of p.m cardio 3 times a week. Now i know that i lost only LBM and am stuck. I feel like i am the same bf% (well a little less but not a whole lot) because i listened to some bad advice and did not do my homework properly.

So here i am less then 4 weeks out. Cut my cardio to 3 times a week for 30 min and i dont know what the hell my body is going to do.

PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE. I need advice as to what i can do.

Increase your protein intake with some good quality proteins with low fat and carbs. As well as take plenty of BCAA's to ensure you don't lose any more of what you have.

I know of a few women who have been able to put LBM on fairy quick by uping there protein considerably. Also make sure your drinking plenty because the higher protein is a little harder on the kidney's.

    Woo Hoo

Wish I had an answer for you J'Bo. I know that when I started with Jill I was eating very very clean and she said that when it came time to cut I would have no where to go with my diet. So I am trying not to do that.

BCAA's are Branch Chain Amino Acids, they help preserve LBM while training and doing cardio when you cut and your body starts trying to break down LBM it burns these up first. So supplementing with them will keep your body from stealing from itself.

I think your best best is to try the carb cycling for the 3 weeks and then fine tune with your normal prep week for your show.

    anything?? now get to work.

Hey J my office partner and fitness competitor ate talapia like 4 times a friken day close to the end of her show and she came in nice and full, with low b/f. she got 5th in the nation but she was robbed, i will try to find a pic of her. Actually it was her lack of a natural nice glute area that did her in.

You can get BCAAs at a nutrition store. Almost every supplement company makes them. I get Optimum Nutrition, but there are numerous others.

mmm mmmrr umm ummm I am here like hellooooooo Ok talapia is fish bcaa is Branch Chain Aminos, personally I think you get enough in your eggs. Possibilly just tweakin the calories may help you. It looks as if you cleaned up early and lost all water inbetween the muscle and skin, I would only advise one cardio session not two now. I will see Cresent tonight and ask her what she thinks you should do, 4 weeks out correct??

They aren't drugs, not at all.

I usually reccomend 3 pre workout, 4 post workout, and then 3 before bed if you work out in the morning. But if in the evening then 3 with breakfast, then 3 pre workout, and 4 post workout.

Not really more drugs, Amino Acids are basically protein, so BCAAs are protein in a pill form.

The water may help to flush it out, as it will tend to constipate you when your protein intake is high. But as for harming the kidney's, I have never seen a case or saw a study which proves this.

I didn't mean as in harming them in a health way, I've just found that when my water intake is low and I'm eating high protein my kidneys swell and I can feel them even when I lean on an incline bench. But if I take in enough water they don't.

But no high protein won't ever cause kidney stones, or problems such as that.
