    How low do you go?

Im curious how low do you guys go when performing squats? I go intill my legs have a 90 degree angle. Is this good enough or is there a specific angle that would be more effective?

I do box squats that take me to parallel (thighs to floor), and without the box I do the same.

I tore my rear medial meniscus last year and the surgeon said it had been worn down (the medial meniscus) from my going past 90 degrees. Now I attribute this to being on the rowing crew for 2 years since you go past 90 degrees over and over and over, but I would bet doing very low squats would also do it. Not that you do very low, since you said just past 90.
