    Best non-slip gloves?

I've recently gotten back into doing heavy dips and LOVE 'em. The problem is, the grips on the dip stand at my gym are made of hard plastic or rubber and are slippery. I asked the manager if I could put some non-skid tape on the grips and was told no. (He's a bit of a hard core guy himself and was very appologetic for saying no but, corporate wouldn't let him allow things like that.) Anyway, my next obvious option is to buy some gloves. I'm not at all worried about keeping my hands velvety soft, I just need gloves that won't slip, even when they get wet with sweat. Or maybe you have an idea other than gloves that might work.

    Thanks for the help.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure every glove is going to be non-slip. I don't use gloves, maybe someone else can help you. If all you want them for is dips then you should go to a sporting good store and just pick up some cheapos.

All the ones I've tried had a suede like palm which is just as slippery as the grips on the dip stand. And also, plain leather gets even more slippery when it gets wet with sweat and my hands seem to sweat a lot.

While in the sporting goods section I happened to notice a rosin bag among the other baseball stuff. For $2 I figure it's worth a try. I let you know how it works out.

    Cheap Garden Gloves

One of the cheapest and best gloves are the ones you can find at the Dollar Store, Lowes, Home Depot, or Walmart in the Garden Section.

    Suit/Shirt Gloves

If you cannot find them at one of the above locations, they are $4.88 at Lifting Large.

Powerlifters use these gloves for getting Bench Press Shirs and Squat/Deadlift Suites on.

It is hard to get a grip on the tight shirt and suites. Also, if you don't use glove it tears your fingers up.
