    Bicep tear doing wide full extended pullups !! Need Some Help??

    Ok so i was doing pullups tonight and going extra wide and full extension !! so I am doing my 3rd set and I on my last rep I go down all the way down and as i am going down I feel and hear a pop !! I knew right away something went wrong !!! Took of my shirt and there's a dent in my bicep !! Please people I need some insight on what happened I am freaking out and I am getting ready for a show

    Can't help but find the irony of your injury considering your screen name...
    i have seen two full out torn biceps, the guys arms looked like they were spray painted red and purple within a few days. Initially it looked like someone took an ice cream scooper and removed a portion on the muscle. They are in significant pain.

    Tell your doctor we said hello. If the tear is serious enough, it may need surgery to reattach it.

    Wow didn't know anybody replied !! Well its been 4 weeks and i did need surgery to repair the bicep also had reconstructed surgery on tendon a procedure where they plug the tendon into my hemerus !! Now just going to pt and recovering. The healing process is going well and the surgeon said it looks great I got allot a range of motion and on the road to recovery Its prob gonna be 20 weeks total for full recovery but thats not too long I guess !!

    Yup It was and I needed surgery

    friend had a small tear and it was black and blue for weeks. but it was up top bicep. your sounds worse....

    Like Jenie said, no lifting, except for in rehab! I had a small tear years ago on my R bi, road to recovery was Looooooong, just be patient!

    agreed! mine was SMALL and only could see a bruise and i was out for easy 2 months.
