Question Possibly a Injury ?

I have been experiencing a pain in my right elbow, especially when I am lifting heavy weights (I always lift heavy though..)
Yet, I have been told by a friend who also trains, that this is BIG TROUBLE and could put me out of action for a while.. er, well it has just begun to happen within the last week or so.... so I dunno...
Any Advise would be appreaciated.

Pain in your right elbow is far too non-specific to figure out what it might be. Unless you can describe in more detail the movements that cause this pain, I would highly recommend laying off of it and going to go see a doctor. Even if you do get more specific and we can be of more help, still go see a doctor.

Yea,

I think I will go see a doctor.... yet when I press or rub my elbow joint with enough force it hurts.. almost like a bruise, quite wierd.
But is it normal ? Ie, If I keep working out like usual will it just subside, or is it a situation that is like ' Stop And Rest or else' ?

If you keep on aggrivating a problem it will just get worse. I have problems with my left elbow if I live 5 reps or less for too long, when doing HST type programs.

you may want to consider only training "heavy" every other work-out. I train heavy one week, then the next week I train with only moderate weight, it's basically a "maintenance work-out" if you will, just to avoid atrophy from disuse. this helps recovery and to avoid injury, and prevents overtraining.
