Training partners

Here's my rant about my training partner.

About 5 weeks ago he decides he needs to get back into shape so he asks me to come to the company gym at lunch, so I think hey why not I will go with him and don't have to pay for it, plus I can work out at lunch and do my home stuff at night. Cool right, well for the last few weeks we never missed a day, 5 days at lunch, now he starts pulling this crap that he's tired, last week I missed leg day and today he said he had to go to lunch with someone and when he came back he didn't have to go anywhere he just didn't want to work out. Now that's fine it's his life but I can't go to the gym without him because I am not really a member. So when he doesn't want to work out I get Fuqed also.

What really gets me is he wouldn't work out until I went with him and now he just pulls this shit and it screws me up because I am in the process of moving so my nights are busy with packing and stuff so I miss work outs when he decides he wants to.

Sorry for the rant but it gets to me ya know!

I know how ya feel. I had, and i stress HAD, a training partner and it started out pretty good. No missed days for 1 month then the excuses began. Missed days were the flavour of the day. It really pissed me off. But now I have joined a new gym, have not asked anyone to be my partner and have not accepted anyones invites to become their partner. If i need a spot whilst at the gym I ask the gym attendant who is always there. I have found that my workouts are much more productive, less talking and more working.
Goodluck with your partner, you will need it.
Why dont you just join a gym and go at it alone, help is always there when you need it and show these so called "partners" what you can achieve without their 1/2 arsed efforts.

I'm on my third partner in six months. The other two got discouraged that they weren't getting results as fast as they wanted to and quit within a month of paying for a full year's membership. The guy I train with now, who is also my best friend, is as serious about becoming frighteningly strong as I am and we feed off each other's enthusiasm.

Never depend on anyone when it comes to your training .You should never miss a training session just because he`s not dedicated.Join a gym and lose your partner,a partner should inspire you and push you through great workouts not hinder your progress. He ain`t serious too bad for him .Train harder without him and he will wish he stayed with you later when you look great and he doesn`t.
