dumbell workout...at home...?
well, looks like I don't have the time or money to get to the gym everyday this summer
and i don't want to just slack off ive got a bench, but not enough weights for the bench press so all i've got is dumbells, ive got lots of weights for that. does anyone know of a good dumbell workout? i could use the bench bar (35 lbs) for curls though. and i could use the bench for dumbell, incline/decline/flat benches. and im also trying to cut this summer, if that matters also, ive got a dip thing, so i could use that. and i cna do pull ups on the swing set, heh thanks |

just do any exercises that you would originally do with a barbell, you can get a good workout with what you have:
db squats bench press flyes military press db still leg deads weighted lunges etc etc To prevent acomodation you can progress youself through different levels and challenges with the dumbells. For example do exercises unilaterally (one are at a time), like flyes, or try doing exercises recipricoal (while one arm is moving eccentric the other is moving concetric.....like bicep curls). Then you can challenge your balance, coordination and proprioception by doing things like standing on one foot, like military presses or front raises. There are millions of ways to get creative with the equiptment you have. Just think about it. |
