Doing pullups on a piece of wood nailed to a floor beam in the basement
Okay....here is the deal.
Find a piece of wood, approx. 2 feet long, 3-4 inches wide. and 1/2 inch deep. Nail it to a floor beam in your basement (face side down, so there is little to hold on to). Do some pullups. 4 fingers, 3 fingers, 2 fingers, 1 fingers (perhand).
I think that it is a excellent way to work the finger flexors.
I have read a study that stated that after a program based on training the finger flexors arm strength increased.
If you do this you will have one hell of a back!!!

mac, you're joking, right? finger flexors? I always thought that your forearm muscles were responsible for "finger strength".
Either way, unless you're into a sport such as rock climbing, I still don't see the point of it....maybe I'm missing something!
fingers arent part of a forearm finger strength does result more helpful because knuckles are part of ur fingers and they wont hurt as much if u punch something

another way to work your fingers at least in my opinion....is you flex your fingers(this should make the top part of your fingers bend forward and the res tof it being straight) and go up to a table or something..and slam it on your fingers until they are numb...good excerise
