    squat question

    how come after I do squats, only my the lower part of my upper leg is sore. like just above the knee, on either side of it?
    Is it a sign if bad form, or is this where it generaly hits?

    probably, although squats work the quads the most, so that is part of it...I often get sore in my ass, so you might not be going low enough too...

    Just because you only feel sore in one area of your quad does not mean that only that area will grow. I would not be too concerned.

    greatNJhunter,

    I never seem to get sore in the quads, but my hamstrings and ass
    sure get sore, and I do them with feet close and far apart.
    Maybe it is where you are weakest. Wish I could get more
    soreness in my quads.

    Bump for what Prince said...and it also may be that you only going half way down...you want to go at least tp parallel.

    I just did legs, and I know I'll be sore tomorrow

    I went lighter just to work on better form and I tell ya, I'm more exhausted today than i've been in a while...sure, I wasn't doing sets with 315 like I usually do, only 275 today, but I had better form I think and that kicked my ass...so, moral of this story is, lightehn the load and work on better form.
