    question about wrists

hi i know this question might sound kinda stupid.

i have really really small wrists and i was wondering if there are any excercises that increases the size of your wrist?

my forearm and biceps and triceps are fairly decent size but my wrists are extremely small.

    thanks

I don't think you can increase your wrist size. That's genetically predetermined. I have the same problem, good sized arms but small wrists.

Not only is it genetic but by measuring the bones in the hand and wrist area they can tell you how tall you will become etc.

I believe the only way if you'd ever make them grow at all would be heavy growth hormone use which will cost you a pretty IMO insane amount of money. I am 6'2" and have a 7.5" right wrist which I never felt was beefy for my height, but thats what I'm stuck with.

You need to get it XRayed and I really dont know beyond that. I can tell you that if your dead and they want to know how large your nose was its very simple math, but I know nothing of the wrist measurement other than an XRay is performed.

    I see

So does this mean we're all destined to grow (height wise) only a certain amount?
For example, if i've ate a 'western' diet (beef, potatos, burgers) opposed to a low cal okinawan 'eastern' diet (bitter melon, rice, veg.) Would I have grown taller?

    Thoughts and theories welcomed

    thanks!

No, you're not going to be able to increase your wrist size...but why would you want to?

Smaller bones and joints make your muscle appear larger, so if bodybuilding is your goal small bones and joints are a blessing.

Diet has improved to the point where in the last 100 years or so the westerner has grown another 5-6" approximately. Rice is certainly not going to make you grow tall though, and I know plenty of Japanese and Korean guys locally much taller than thier parents due to a western diet. Calcium makes up your bones, as for bone marrow thats more complex and I am certainly no doctor. I have a female filipa friend that is also about 5" taller than her mom and about the same height as her dad.

Carbohydrates dont directly build muscle or height, rice + beans however is a complete protein but I dont know much of the asian diet specifically unless we want to talk fish oils, in which case asian culture consumes 3-4x the amount the US people do.

Plenty of it is genetics though, there are still very tall people in the orient (used to be 6'10" for Japan, I know there is a chinese basketball player taller though). Look at Robert Wadlow who was near 9 foot tall before he died of an infection, that is a genetic mishap so you can still get tall for various reasons.
