Tank316,
So that's it, just walk carrying heavy dumbells?
What do you mean by making them? Can you be more specific?

You can buy farmer bells, too.
The purpose of the farmer's walk is two-fold: conditioning and grip.
farmer walks are a great trap finishing move...
after you perform your standard trap exercizes (dumbell/barbell shrugs, upright rows..)...
grab 2 heavy dumbells (i use 90's or 100's) with straps if you need them, and walk around while keeping your shoulders in place. In other words, try to walk while keeping your shoulders and traps almost "locked" so to speak.
Walk around as much as you can, until you feel like your traps are going to burst, then repeat as desired...
Hey guys, thanks for the information, I could definitely use some extra trap work.

No straps, thats cheating. Try not to use straps, very important.
it is great for forearms too, and if you wanted to, you could make it a calf exercise by walking on your tip toes across the gym and show the calves something different.

The World is Mine cause I'm in it.
How far do you have to walk? do you just go 10 feet and turn around or do I have to walk all around my gym and look like a freak

Well, when I was lifting 7 months ago before my accidents, I was walking 2 miles with 15lb dumbells. It's not as easy as it sounds.
Your forearms, delts, traps and calves get hit pretty darn hard.
