    Alternating BodyParts?

Is it alright to alternate BP within a w/o? For example, today was Chest and Biceps. I would do 3 sets of a chest exercise, then 3 sets biceps; back and forth.

    Incline BB- 3 sets
    BB Curl- 3 sets
    Flat BB- 3 sets
    Alt DB Curl- 2 sets
    Flye- 3 sets
    Preacher curl- 2 sets

Is it good to train like that? I feel I have more to give after taking a rest to do the other exercise.

Definitely ok. I do this sometimes to change up my workouts. Vary your workouts as much as possible. Changing the exercises, as well as the order you do them in, will help keep your body from adapting.

Hey, your born 1977 too? I was born in July. You don't think that's too many sets do you? I rest 2 min in between and going very heavy. I do that two weeks, then 1 week with 45 sec- 1min of rest and higher reps.

Just to keep the flow, I was born July, 26 1977. Looks good maybe after you get used to it switch up and do Chest/Back; Bi/Tri
to get the push/pull method also.

Cool Maniclion, I like being a July B-day! That was my routine before, I loved training arms together. I like the tight feeling.

I also like that you start with incline BB first. So many guys begin with flats and kill their sternal pecs leaving hardly enough juice to get good work on the clavicular. Then they wonder why they have a nice set of boobs instead of a full barrel chest.

Thanks. I didn't use to when I was younger. I've been doing it first now for about a year and it really is helping to bring the chest up.

I wouldn't really recommend the body parts you put down even though they are opposites i.e chest(pushing) and bicep(pulling) you would get a better shock by training the biceps with tri's.

E.g Start off and do 2 exercises of three sets for the bi's like standing barbell curl and seated preacher curls, which would be something like this SBC 10 8 6 and for PC 10 8 6.

Then move onto the tri's and do

*Triceps extensions behind the neck using one dumbell and another exercise could be skull crushers. The sets would be like this TE 10 8 6 and SC 10 8 6.

Now in total you have done 12 sets , 6 sets for each body part but we haven't finished there, now i would pick up the barbell again and do standing barbell curls again in which you fail in the 10 rep range, then as soon as you finish stick with the barbell or EZ bar and perform skull crushers for another 10 reps.

Rest for about a minute and perform the previous superset which was standing barbell curl supersetted with skull crusher.

That will shock those muscles big time.

    Hope it helps :
