My new gym...

...is at my house!

Seriously though, I want to add equipment to my home gym.

My new house has a 18x10 room that I'll be using for a gym. At the moment I only have a bench with built in lat pull down and a pull up bar. I'm already going to be buying a weight tree and more weights. What do you think I should add and where I can get it?

Depends on your budget...if I had a wish list for a home gym it would include:

Power Rack or Squat Rack (definite must have if you can afford it)
Adjustable bench to do incline/decline and flat movements
Single or double cable to do cable movements
Stability ball (Swiss ball) for stability and core training

As for where you can get these...I think Mudge and a few others here have very nice home gym setups...they can probably help you out.

Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

Take a look at my home gym.

http://www.ironmagazineforums.com/sh...threadid=20762 (Body Solid equipment.)

I've had the rack for a couple of years and it still looks new.

Stay away from the cheap multi station home gym things. They don't last long and the range of motion and feeling they have is really crappy.

Rack and a bench, I dont like those lame lat pulldown things on the benches either, decent for triceps IF its on a roller and not a leg extention attachment.
