A bit worried here, soreness problem

Ok, here is the situation.

I just came back from Europe about two weeks ago or so.. in Europe I did not train at all.. and before I left for Europe I really hadn't been training well either. So lets say around 2 months of not training.. before that I was making very good gains.. I was very pleased..

Now, I've been training my chest, the first week I trained chest I was sore, very sore.. the next week.. not sore at all.. this week I am a *bit* sore. I know soreness should not be used as a measurement for how good a workout is.. but it seems strangely suspicious to me that I train chest all the time and each time I get sore.. and all of a sudden BAM no soreness.. or not nearly as much.. I am not quite sure to whether I have made gains in the past 3 weeks.. I will have to check this upcoming tuesday.

All other parts that I train get quite sore.. biceps triceps.. legs.. etc.. all of it except for the chest........

Btw, I am 17 years old and around 145-150lbs
If you need any other info let me know
and thanks!

You are probably not pushing your self at the same intensity level that you were before your layoff. Your strength is probably down and therefore you are not making as much of an inroad into your recovery ability as you were before.

You may also have "regenrated" and "reinvigorated" your whole nervous system with that break, and therefore are recovering at a higher level right now.

Just curious but why the heck would you stop training 2 months before europe if you were making very good gains? Most people slack off and stop if they see no results not the other way around.

Lenny: Pfft, forget it, Homer. While it has been established that eggs contain cholesterol, it has not yet been proven conclusively that they actually raise the level of serum cholesterol in the human
blood stream.

Cool

Well, if you must now!

School had just finished but a week later I enrolled myself in a college Government/Economics course at Rice University.. currently I am still in high school. That took up ALOT of my time.. the few times I went to the gym I had horrible work outs and didn't feel it afterwards at all. Directly after the course was over I went to Poland for a month. I barely had the motivation over there to do anything but drink and club.

So working out kinda lost my interest

Yes, I know I should be whippped. I apologize eternally to the great body building gods!

Oh yes, quick update.. Today I did experience some soreness.. still nothing compared to what i used to experience.. I'm pretty sure I am pushing myself to the same level as I used too.. I am pissed as hell that I dropped so much weight on bench.

ANyways, I am eager to see whether or not I make any gains this upcoming chest day (Tuesday)

Ok, I have yet another complaint, I'm looking specifically for Gopro here as I am on his program.

Ok, last week I did power week.. my arms got sore.. specifically my biceps.. and my triceps were sore.. but not so much...

NOW
I did rep week just this past week.. and my arms aren't feeling anything at all.. I was sure I would have gotten sore because I did power week the past two or two and a half weeks!
I feel nothing, biceps and triceps are completely fine!

What is wrong with me!!!!!

I'm working my chest tomorrow, power week.. perhaps I should do a shock week?

It just doesn't make sense to me though.. I just came off a more then 2 month break from working out.. I'd think my body would be purged of its tolerance to a certain routine eh?

Advice please!? anyone!?

Angry

Not that anyone seems to be reading this thread

But my fears have been alleviated, I have not gotten sore, but I did chest day today (tuesday) and I made good gains.. going up at least 5-10 pounds on all my exercises... on chest at least..

yay for me!
