Smoking cuts down the oxygen you are able to get into your body. That will effect muscle growth. Yes, I know lots of big mofos that smoke. When I used to compete, their were guys smoking backstage. ANother way it effects muscle growth...look at it this way.... How many guys make it to the gym that are on oxygen.

Good luck in quitting smoking. I chewed for years and anyone that says nic ain't an addictive drug, don't know shiat. Hell, I still crave a good pinch of cope every now and then. Are you taking any thing to help you stop?

And if your a chick you can pretty mutch forget about being hit on by me. Smoking = Turn off :|

But if your lifting and exercizing to be healthy why would you want to smoke since that would be counter-productive?
    Lift hard, or go home!

    Uh...HELLO!!!!

Unless you are ingesting it some way other than inhaling, it has the same effects on the lungs. Smoke is smoke.

Sure dont, Ive never smoked before. I have however seen my mom quit a couple of times, I just dont understand why they cant just set em down and not smoke anymore Guess its because ive never had an addictive personality. Well good luck trying to quit, maybe you could try the nicotine gum? Thats what my mom used.

I know a couple of guys that quit smoking after reading Allen Carr's easy way to stop smoking.
I've read it and i'm smoking while typing.
I'll probably read it again when i find the time.
    Good luck...

Your body will expend energy trying to constantly repair the immune system, as well as your cardiovascular abilities being diminished meaning less reps (squats, deadlifts) on the harder movements.

try looking into welbutran? zyban? i have a friend that was taking it for depression and she quit smoking. she gained like 500 lbs though from having the munchies all the time and eating like shit. my mom had a friend that took it specifically to try and quit smoking and is smokeless so far. from what i understand it's supposed to relieve the 'anxiety' type feeling from the nicotine withdrawal. and remember, after the first few days it's all psychological, like masterbating, you may not really be going through the withdrawals of no sex but sometimes you just gotta do something with your hand...oh wait...wrong analogy...
