    Muscle loss(Catabolic)

Ill be graduating with my Associates in Criminal Justice this spring, and will be attending Police Academy this summer. From the people that I have talked to, for PT, they do anywhere from a 1 mile run to a 3 mile run a day. As I understand it this Long Distance running will be catabolic. Right now when I do cardio its HIT.. aka sprints. Is there anything I can do during the Academy to prevent muscle loss?

Not sure if you already use it or not, but try taking some glutamine. It's supposed to prevent muscle breakdown.

Lenny: Pfft, forget it, Homer. While it has been established that eggs contain cholesterol, it has not yet been proven conclusively that they actually raise the level of serum cholesterol in the human
    blood stream.

Just eat more in order to provide your body with more fuel so that it can compensate for a greater level of energy expenditure.

that's about it, eat more, but you'll still lose some muscle with all that running (I did when I was in basic training to)....but you'll gain it back.

Just wait. You won't have any trouble once becoming a cop. lol You get it for free from the people you bust and then take it home and use it.

I am very conservative when it comes to our drug laws, but when it comes to AS and madatory minimums, our system has it's head up it's ass.

You may eat like a beast now, but you will probably be burning alot more calories during training. Good luck man.
