Headphones fellas, headphones. I suppose I could be more friendly in the gym, but I wear headphones so no one will talk to me. The only things people do is ask if they can work in, which I have no problem with. All other useless chatter is drowned out by the soothing sounds of Kenny G.

Unfortunately for me i am a very social person.... it's in my nature so i do spend a bit of time talking (mainly with my TP's), not heaps but the odd conversation goes longer than i would wish.
I only ever talk to the young fellas at the gym about how they train, and i get a few that feel free to come and ask me about stuff. It's the older blokes that have been trainin for heaps that think they know it all that dont listen.
I had one young fella watchin me for ages, so we had a chat one day about his goals, damn he trains hard now!! For a skinny 16yr old he's really starting to put on some muscle!! Now i just walk past "Hey Luke, lookin good mate" I get "Thanks Pete"
I'd so love to be a PT....

Ya man, its cool to talk to people, i mean i absolutely love the gym, but not for that reason. I just wait till i'm done that's all if i'm going to chit chat. While i lift, I rely on my MP3 player and headphones, and when someone says something, i don't pay attention or just nod (i'm not trying to be a dick, i'm just in there for a reason).

I actually trained with my buddy the last 2 days. Now i know why i don't like training with a partner. The workout takes longer, too much time b/w sets, and even though i'm half the problem, i hate getting into conversations (ruins my pump and intensity). Sure its good to have that spotter when you need it and it gives a little more motivation, but i found Pantera and Metallica to be all the motivation i need.
You're a funny guy, Sully, I like you. Dat's why I'm going to kill you lahst.
