10x10 routine for arms.... Anyone ever do it?

I was just flipping through an issue of Flex, (from a few months ago, its the one with the 21-gun salute) even though I don't usually read it.

Anyways, they have a bunch of arm shockers.

    It looks something like this:

Triceps -- Rope Pushdowns 10 sets of 10 reps

Biceps -- Barbell Curls 10 sets of 10 reps

Forearms -- Writs Curls 10 sets of 10 reps

The idea is that you push each set to failure -- and the weight you use will likely decrease as you go on.

    Overtraining?

    What do you all think?

i was talking to a former Mr. America a while back. he said he used to do 50 sets per bodypart.....he said there is no such thing as overtraining....there is only under recuperating (not enough sleep, eating right etc). this guy was enormous, i think he knows what he was talking about. anyways, 10 sets isnt that much for a bodypart anyways.....
You're a funny guy, Sully, I like you. Dat's why I'm going to kill you lahst.

I'd have to say that would make sense

I was doing a 3 day split over the summer

I did nothing else apart from rest/eat/sleep

Now I realise with all that extra rest I could have probably done a 4 or 5 day split easy, I just didn't want to overtrain but I see it more clearly now

50 sets par body part ?? how? So Satan mentioned that there are totally 30 sets for arms for a week...or if twice per week...it would be abt 60 sets...
    gosh
the poundage as well as rep will decrease eventually....
This is like total kill for that particular muscle..
I don't know why ppl do like that ...
for intensity-oriented techiques...it would be quite awkward...
I wanna tried this once in a month ...for the sake of shock or variation for the mucles....
