I watched Dorian's blood and guts and noticed that he didn't do squats..
how come! he did hack squat, leg press and leg extensions for quads i think. Why didn't he do squats..if it goes saying that squats are the best. so we can get huge quads with these machine exercise!!! i am a bit confused. |

Well I don't do squats (never did) and my legs look way better than the rest of my body. All I did was leg press, sometimes extensions.
At one point I really was huge for my age, at 17 I used to lift like 500 lbs. Pretty fun. I had an injured back since my teen years tho, that's why I never did squats, I felt I'd break my back. |

Dorian stopped doing squats later in his pro years, as do many pros, because their is so much pressure on their knees.
He did squats, as do most pros, earlier and build up impressive legs, then they cut back on them. Plus that was only 1 leg w.o. of his.... That's also why many older pros start their leg w.o.'s with leg extensions, to warm up their legs and knee joints.... |
