Unhappy Skinny Guy Tries to bulk up but has high BF

I'm a 6'1" guy, 18 years old, and 165lbs. I am a weakling so I assume the greater part of that is fat, especially since my bones etc are not very heavy set. I've got a lot of fat on my thighs and ass (I understand that fat is not localized...or that's what I've been told so this is just where it is most noticeable) and in the upper chest (my chest is a strange cross between toned and "bitch tit" level), but I look perfectly fine in T-shirts etc and any type of pants (no matter how tight)... even better than ok, I get approached by good looking girls etc but I don't want to go any further because my body is an embarrassment.

I don't have an eating problem, I have starved myself for a few days once to conserve food (I was waiting on cash and wanted to buy a textbook) and don't need junk food etc, this fat is just from being lazy and not exercising while living with my parents during high school (my mom overfeeds the dog too).

I'm now dedicated to fixing my problem.

I am 100% sure that I can get rid of the fat just by cardio type exercises and all that while eating low calorie foods (I take a lot of vitamin supplements), but I still have the problem of being a weakling and want to bulk up significantly. I figure without excess fat I probably weight in at around 140-150 lbs, and I have high muscular endurance from being in perpetual muscle tighten mode whenever I'm at a party (I fear someone discovering that I'm a fatass, right now I just look tough).

I'm wondering if there is some way to bulk up significantly while not putting on any more fat (can I use the fat I have now before I hit the Premium Nutrition Whey Protein stuff?). I've just read SO many different things, like on one of those advertising popups it said one thing in big bold letters, then the 10 tips for gaining muscle here said essentially the opposite for virtually every point. Also how does alcohol factor in? I just finished my first month of university in an area where the drinking age is 18, so I have been drinking VERY heavily, and was surprised to find that I hold my alcohol very "well" (I started drinking straight vodka and rum etc in large amounts basically every friday and saturday nights with friends and avoided the beer for fat concerns). My alcohol resistance skyrockets by saturday to 3 mickeys (375mL bottles, 12 OZ) of 40% alcohol stuff plus a couple of Canadian beers. I also find that I require very little sleep now to function, and that I no longer get hungry (my metabolism I assume has either crashed, or something else is going on).

Does anyone know what I should do to reach what I want?

Avoiding beer for fat concerns yet drinking liqour is very counterproductive, since there is a lot of sugar in all of those. I presume you drink mixed drinks as well (Smirnoff Ice, Mike's etc.). Those are LOADED with sugar. Alcohol lowers Testosterone. You do NOT require very little sleep to function. You just happen to THINK you do. I am not being mean, I am trying to help. Not eating is not going to help, as your body will hold onto whatever fat it has because it thinks it is in the middle of a fast. You need to sleep 7-8hrs a night, eat several small meals a day (start with four, work up to 6) and drop the alcohol, or at least limit it. Workout 2-3 days a week to start, then add another day or two if you wish after a month or two. Lots of protein, moderate carbs and fat, 2 (20 min) cardio sessions a week. Eat clean and dry (limit processed foods and dressings, sauces etc. Do not try for any drastic results. Work at it, results will DEFINITELY come, but they will last longer, perhaps forever, if you make this a lifestyle change rather than a quick fix. If your buddies bug you about the alcohol thing to the point where they really alienate you, maybe you should find new friends. They should support you on your journey. Good luck and enjoy the ride.

Ahh the old skinny-fat syndrome, I'm the same way. Not naturally muscular and carries more bodyfat than I'd like naturally when eating "normal people food."

Bulk carefully and cleanly, I dont eat hardly anything for carbs right now, about 50g a day total, 2300-2400 calories ~212 pounds.

it's when you take a shit, but it's kind of squishy, and you get a turd that just hangs there and you kinda have to shake and wiggle to get it to fall out.

..at least that is what someone told me

My last bulk I watched protein ONLY and ate pretty much what I wanted, the see-food diet. Problem is I dont have the kind of metabolism that does well with that, so I forced myself to take it a step further and write everything down and after a couple months or so I finally discovered what works for me.

I am starting up a 'bulk' in about a week, and the caloric increase will be gradual. I am going to say that I will add about 400 calories to start out with, and it will probably be all carbs. So I'm going to play it by ear, and use caution.
