    Question Intervals after lifting.

I've just switched to a new routine where on 2 of the 4 days of lifting it only takes 35-40 minutes and I was thinking about squeezing 20 minutes of interval cardio's in there on those 2 days ( I try to keep my workouts under 1 hour). If I do this the 3 rest days I'll have to do nothing, but I thought I read somewhere that Intervals after lifting is not good, any thoughts? Thanks Mike

Are you saying you read that interval cardio training after lifting isn't good? If that's the case - I'd have to disagree - It works for me!!

yes, I did read somewhere that intervals are not good after lifting, for whatever reason, that I do not know? I personally don't see any reason why not, as long as I kept my workouts under 60 minutes.

If I'm understanding you correctly, your talking about doing cardio after lifting weights, right?
If so, then what you saw is right if your trying to build muscle.
You would want to get fuel to your muscles right after working out otherwise you'll risk using muscle for energy when doing cardio right after.

Bottom line, if your not trying to drop alot of fat, do your cardio on off lifting days for best results.
