    How do you acheive definition/low BF% by using lighter weights and higher reps physiologically speaking?

    Sorry Guys no way! Definition is achieved through diet! ECA stack supplements (ephedra, caffiene, aspirin) are helpful. The old less weight more reps for definition went out a long time ago. Losing fat is what creates cuts. Lifting less weight is a step backward in my book. Cut the calories back somewhat and pick up the cardio.

    I agree with BroadStreet. To get that cut look, don't change your workout. Change your diet. It is impossible to build mass if you eat at a caloric deficit. If you keep your same high intensity weight workout and do not feed your muscles enough protein and calories to get bigger, you'll just burn more fat and eventually get more definition without building mass. It's all about your diet.

    Thumbs up

    Thanks Guys For Your Input!

    I weigh 135 pounds, and LIVE ON PULLUPS so I have more than enough cuts.

    I just don't want to bulk up on certain parts of my body, I want to retain the definition.

    I heard people using weights while performing
    pull ups, and I was wondering if I lower reps
    and add weight would I gain or lose definition.

    Thanks Again!

    If you want to gain muscle you will lose some definition.
    At 135 pounds you could do with adding some muscle to your frame.
    You will look and feel great as a result

    Lightbulb

    Typically, if you're trying to get lean you will increase reps and lower poundage, as well as decrease rest times between sets.

    But adjusting your diet/calories is the key to getting lean. My theory is 80% diet and 20% training in relation to bodybuilding, whether it be gaining size, losing fat, getting lean, etc.

    Maybe definition is the wrong word, I've found that high reps really help to build shape, not necessarily definition.

    Thanks Once Again For Your Inputs !

    Prince;
    I'm trying to build a diet on the Diet & Nutrition Board.

    Crowman;
    I've been told that Definition is the correct
    name for cuts. I appologize if I mislead anyone.

    Don't "definition" and "shape" mean the same thing?

    No. Shape means the appearance of a muscle. A female might say I want to add more shape to my thighs.

    Definition is how "defined" a muscle is, meaning how lean, or the amount of bodyfat.

    Levels of definition in bodybuilding are described with words like cut, ripped, shredded, etc.

    Thanks Cackerot69 for sharing you view!

    I can only answer in regards, in what I wrote.

    When I meant bulking certain parts of my body and leaving the rest with cuts, I meant
    focusing on my chest since I would like to
    increase in size. I understand weight gain
    is the key role, but, couldn't I put more emphisis on my chest (Increasing More Weight)
    and continue with the weight I'm using on
    lets say my abs to achieve a bulky chest and
    cuts in my abs.

    Thanks Again For Your Point Of View!
